Shanghai General Hospital

Founded in 1864 as Shanghai’s first public hospital, Shanghai General Hospital (affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) is a Grade-A tertiary comprehensive hospital. It is renowned for organ transplantation, vision-restoring ophthalmology, and cardiac emergency care, with special strengths in retinal detachment surgery, dialysis and kidney transplantation, and hand reimplantation.
